OK, so I think we'll finally be caught up after this post. Last week, we drove down to Avalon, NJ to stay with Uncle Wren and Tara. I spent a lot of the time chilling in the pool, working on my tan and getting some great pin shots to send to the modeling agency I'm working with:
This one will be for the billboard ad campaign for my new scent, "Emaciation." Hey, at least I weigh more than some models out there...
Naturally, you can't go to the Jersey shore without spending some time at the beach:
We made a sand castle. I drove cars into the sand castle and into the moat around the castle. There was a secret passage as well, which this picture just does not do justice to. It was pretty sweet. I assume it's still there, so you guys should be sure to visit it if you're ever in Avalon.
I also went in the ocean.... mostly to get water for the moat (but the sun dried it up):
We went on a bike ride, too. That's me and Evie in the sweet yellow trailer behind Daddy.
Daddy's bike riding was second to none, and I took care of Evie in the trailer and made sure that she didn't cry. When we first got her in, she cried.
Then she got over it, thanks to my comforting arms:
But the highlight of the trip to the beach was when I sweet-talked mom and dad into getting two hermit crabs:
I named them Cute Cat and Daisy. As you can tell, they have the personalities to match their names.
(As a side note, Mommy wanted to name one of them "The Claw." Also, I caught Daddy made some snide remarks about the astronomical mortality rate of hermit crabs purchased by kids at the Jersey Shore. I ignored both comments.)
After we got back, we went to the pet store to get them a bigger cage (an aquarium, actually).
As you can tell, Cute Cat is much happier now.
Now that we are officially back home with no other vacations in sight, Mommy has gone on a home improvement rampage. I won't go into all of the gory details, but here is a representative picture of Mommy felling a large tree in our front yard:
That's all for now. I will try to be more timely in future posts, now that my editor's life is conflict-free for the foreseeable future.
Love,
Eli
