The word of the day is "blocks." As the weather has gotten colder, I've turned my attention to my most recent pursuit: architecture. I find that my designs have maximum effect when I place them in a location so as to cause maximum inconvenience to other occupants of the house. This way, my art cannot be ignored!

This is the basic McMansion With Yacht model.

This is my new urbanist community, complete with rapid transit access. (Only available on the Island of Sodor.)

My constructions were getting so elaborate that I needed to hire a partner to help out.

Now Mommy's caught block fever as well. She spent the last few weeks in the garage drilling holes in glass blocks, stuffing lights in them, and tying ribbons around them. Then she dragged me out on a cold day to sell them:

It was a light day for block sales, but several people tried to purchase me. Go figure.

Later that week, I was somewhat disturbed to discover that a local restuarant had stolen some of mommy's glass blocks to use as windows. My exact words were, "What are those glass block lamps doing in that wall?"

In all seriousness, the blocks make great gifts... for the loved one who has everything. Place your orders at blockheadlights@gmail.com! I was not paid for this shameless plug!
